Welcome to La Ecuatoriana, an authentic Ecuadorian restaurant nestled in the heart of Halethorpe, Maryland. As I stepped into La Ecuatoriana, the enticing aromas enveloped me, hinting at the richness of the menu. Each dish tells a story, and the reviews from satisfied customers echo the sentiment. One standout recommendation is the sopa de rez, a hearty beef soup complete with rice, yuca, potato, and vegetables—perfect for anyone seeking comfort in a bowl. The accompanying tortillas add an authentic touch that guarantees satisfaction.
The breakfast offerings deserve special mention, especially the desayuno especial. This generous plate features a lovely combination of avocado, eggs, rice, beans, white cheese, and your choice of chicken or beef, accompanied by tortillas. It’s a balanced and hearty start to the day that leaves patrons craving more. There's also a plate of golden fries topped with marinated chicken and fried eggs that is simply irresistible.
For those seeking refreshment, La Ecuatoriana serves a selection of tropical juices that perfectly complement their robust flavors. The mango and papaya juices are exceptional, with a unique beverage also on the menu—a chilled drink described as reminiscent of chocolate, offering a perfect blend of sweetness that both quenches thirst and delights the palate.

Delicious Central American victuals. Service staff have improved in the last year. I've never ordered sit-down cause I like my meals at home in front of either the PC or TV (clearly, I don't have a social life). Since I don't come to the restaurant to make amigos (!), I give it praise. My favs are the sopa de rez (beef soup, with rice, yuca, potato, vegetables) with tortillas; the desayuno especial (avocado, eggs, rice, beans, white cheese, chicken or beef and tortillas), and another breakfast that is a plate of fries, slices of marinated chicken then topped with two fried eggs. They also offer tropical juices like mango, papaya, another I don't know the name but it's like a milk with a distant flavor of chocolate, when it is served very cold. it is extremely delicious. De todas maneras, la comida es super buena y los precios son mas o menos.

Good food and "chicharrones" (next door store) are to die for. Do not trust your GPS, look for the place old fashion style.

It's a really nice Bodega/food place, good portions of tasty food. They don't seem to speak much English though so you might have trouble ordering
